Mr. Karthik Athreya is the Managing Director of Sundaram Alternates and a member of the firm's Private Credit Investment Committees. He is a financial services professional with over 26 years of experience across principal investing, funds management, investment banking, corporate finance, assurance, and transaction diligence services. Under his guidance, Sundaram Alternates' private credit franchise has grown to over $450 million of AUM since its inception ~7 years ago.

Prior to Sundaram Alternates, Karthik led the India business of Clearwater Capital Partners, a pan-Asian special situations fund, and oversaw close to $2 billion of investments across secured lending, offshore private credit, deep restructurings & turnarounds, private equity, and real estate credit. Karthik has been instrumental in the setup and build-out of several new businesses in his earlier roles at YES Bank, Arthur Andersen, and Rabobank's India operations.

Karthik is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from the prestigious Loyola College, Chennai. He is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Ajit brings over two decades of experience across Asset Management, Digital & FinTech businesses, and General Management. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Sundaram Alternate Assets Limited.

He spent more than 15 years with Sundaram Asset Management Company, serving as Chief Marketing Officer and leading marketing, product, and direct channel sales, while also overseeing the company's digital transformation agenda.

Most recently, Ajit served as Head of Strategy & Planning at Sundaram Finance Limited, where he was responsible for several strategic initiatives across the group, including the launch of its Wealth Management business.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Cognizant Technology Solutions and BankBazaar.com. At BankBazaar, he was the key architect behind the launch of one of India's first paperless mutual fund investment platforms, a pioneering step in the country's fintech space.

Ajit holds an MBA from the Great Lakes Institute of Management.

Mr Rajagopal has nearly 3 decades of experience in handling Secretarial, Compliance and Legal Affairs. He joined Sundaram Finance in September 1997, transferred to Sundaram Asset Management Company in April 2016 and then transferred to Sundaram Alternates in December 2018 where he currently serves as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer.

He is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and a law graduate

Vinay Vinod Singhi serves as the South and East Zonal head and a seasoned professional with a rich background in the financial services sector, boasting over 15+ years of hands-on experience in Institutional sales of Debt and Equities. Presently, entrusted with the pivotal role of overseeing sales for AIFs & PMSs, both in direct and distribution capacities, at Sundaram Alternates, headquartered in Chennai. His Proficiency extends to portfolio management, adept business relationship cultivation, and comprehensive knowledge across banking, private credit and equities domains. A distinguished alumnus of The University of Salford, UK embodying a robust professional ethos. 

Vinay has been with Sundaram group for over 10 years and handles an AUM of over 2500 crores and is responsible for driving Product & Sales Excellence across South & East, orchestrating Strategic Expansion and Performance Optimization from Family office, UHNI and registered business partners.

Mr. Ashish Gulati is the Zonal Head - North at Sundaram Alternates with more than 13 years of Experience in Fund Raising.

He is responsible for raising funds in both Debt & Equity like Performing Credit, Real Estate Debt Fund, Listed Debt Securities & Listed Equities. 

Having worked with organisations like Aditya Birla Capital & Piramal Capital, he has keen interest across functions like Sales, Client Management, Distribution & Marketing.

He holds a master's degree with dual specialisation in Finance & Marketing. He has also successfully completed New Leaders Program by Harvard Business.

Ashish believes that as an Asset Management professional one needs to be well informed and focused. He is passionate about creating long term relationships that bring definite value to his clients. Ashish keenly follows geopolitics and its impact on the global financial markets.

Mr. Arjun Sankar is a real estate professional with over a decade's experience in real estate investments, lending, and fundraising. He has proven experience in real estate micro-market management in India, and investments across real estate - residential and commercial.

Arjun is currently responsible for Sundaram Alternates' RE Credit Fund Investments in Chennai and Hyderabad micro markets. Prior to his role at Sundaram Alternates, he was responsible for building and managing a real estate portfolio of USD 630mn in South India.

He has significant experience across product classes within real estate financing (equity, mezzanine, structured debt, construction finance, inventory funding, acquisition finance) across residential, retail, and commercial.

Mr. Manoj Mahadevan is a finance professional with over a decade's experience in real estate funding and relationship management across multiple markets in West and South India. His areas of expertise include business development, debt funding, financial analysis and cash flow projections, client relationship and service delivery and is currently responsible for Sundaram Alternates' RE Credit Fund Investments. Prior to Sundaram Alternates, he was a part of the corporate real estate funding group of Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited (managing assets over Rs. 2,000 crores) and JM Financial catering to project finance needs of large developers in Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai region (managing an exposure of over Rs.5,000 crores). His prior work experience includes a 5+ year stint with Jones Lang LaSalle as Manager - Capital Markets.

Mr. Chandan Kumar is a finance professional with over 12 years of experience in structured finance, debt advisory, special situation assets and fund structuring. Prior to this, Mr. Chandan was an Associate Director of InCred Capital, an NBFC for 4 years and Senior Vice President of Yes Bank Limited. In the past, Mr. Chandan worked with Mahindra Satyam as Software Engineer for nearly 2 years in the areas of data mining, analytics, and statistical models. Mr. Chandan is a Bachelor of Engineering from B.I.T. Sindri and holds a post graduate diploma in business management from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Mr. Dhiren H Thakker is the Chief Operating Officer at Sundaram Alternates and is associated with Sundaram for over a decade with his last role being as Head-Customer Service with Sundaram Mutual Fund. He has earlier worked with ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund in branch service operations and was last associated as head of South Zone. Prior to that he has worked with Way2Wealth Securities P Ltd as dealer.

With over 20 years of experience in front-end operations and customer service, Dhiren is a seasoned professional known for building strong, lasting relationships with distributors and engaging customers to create impactful experiences.

Darshan Engineer is an experienced investment professional with over 16 years in financial markets, including 14 years in equities and 2 years in credit ratings. His investment career spans across leading PMS and AIF platforms such as Alchemy Capital, Karma Capital, and Valuequest, with a focus on small and mid-cap strategies.

Known for his strong bottom-up research capabilities, Darshan brings deep sectoral expertise across consumer discretionary, auto & auto ancillaries, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and information technology. His approach combines detailed financial modelling with a strong understanding of business fundamentals.

An MBA in Finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Computer Science engineer from Mumbai University, Darshan has also held leadership roles in credit research during his stint at CRISIL.

Sandeep Tulsiyan is a seasoned investment professional with over 17 years of experience in equity research and portfolio management. His sectoral expertise spans capital goods, defence, consumer durables, cement, and auto ancillaries.
